Lots of exciting things are happening this term...Make sure you put these important dates on your calenders.More details for each event will be given closer to the date.
Aboriginal Incursion - Tuesday 26th July 11.40am-12.20pm
Kew Traffic School- Friday 12 th August 9.00 am-12.00 noon
Night Kinder Session- Wednesday 31 st August 5.00pm-7.30 pm
The night kinder session will replace the morning session on this day
Father's Day Gala- Thursday 8th September 6.00pm-7.15pm
Fairies and footballers Day- Friday 16 th September Last Session.
Portfolios- We hope you enjoyed sharing your child's portfolio during the holidays.Please make sure they are returned to the centre ASAP.Thank you to those of you that added some feedback in the 'parent contribution 'section.We value and appreciate your comments.If you would like to add a comment,feel free to take the relevant page from your child's portfolio and return when you are finished.
Community workers topic-Over the next few weeks we will be looking at people in the community and the jobs they do.I have asked some parents to come and share some information about their work with the children.It would be great to have someone from the police,fire or ambulance industry,so if anyone has a contact they think would be able to come and visit us please let me know.
Library- We will continue the library book borrowing program this term so please continue to return borrowed library books each Friday.
Other Book Borrowing-We will continue to take it in turns to borrow our-Family Stories,Pet Book and our most recent publication 'The Blue Book'.Please return these in the following session so all the children have a turn.
Isabella Bear-We will be introducing Isabella Bear to Blue Group this term.Isabella is our take homeTeddy bear that loves visiting each child and spending time with their family.Isabella will visit two families each week.
Daily Helpers-Starting next Tuesday( 19th July) we will have 4 children each day as our 'Daily Helpers'.We will have
- A snack/lunchtime helper-who will be responsible for helping prepare the tables for lunch/snack and wiping the tables afterwards.
- Two worm farm/compost monitors-who will be responsible for cutting up food scraps for our worms and putting other food scraps into the compost bin.
- A Calender monitor-who completes the day,date,month,season and weather on our chart.
