Established in 1969, Viewbank Preschool is dedicated to providing a nurturing and engaging early learning environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
We proudly offer one three-year-old program and two four-year-old programs, supporting over 60 local families in the Banyule community.

Exceeding Quality kinder
Viewbank Preschool has been rated as Exceeding under the National Quality Framework, surpassing all required standards set by the Australian Government.
Our dedicated and experienced teaching team has been with the preschool for many years and brings genuine passion and care to everything they do.
We offer a bright, light-filled classroom and a spacious outdoor environment with thoughtfully designed play spaces where children can explore, imagine, and express themselves.

Enriched play-based education
At Viewbank Preschool, our programs are guided by the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks, and shaped by the Viewbank Preschool Teaching Philosophy.
Our teachers and educators thoughtfully plan play-based learning experiences that reflect each child’s interests, needs, and personality.
With support from government funding and family contributions, we’re able to further enrich our program with a variety of incursions and excursions, including:
Chinese language program (government-funded)
Yoga sessions
Wild Action – interactive experiences with Australian animals in the classroom
Friends with Honey – learning all about bees
Healthy Harold visits

As a community-based, government-funded kindergarten, Viewbank Preschool is managed by a volunteer parent committee and relies on the support of families through both time and contributions.
